HOW DO I GET CERTIFIED?

In Pennsylvania

4 Basic Steps for getting a Medical Marijuana ID card in Pennsylvania

1.  Register for the program through the Medical Marijuana Registry. Go to this link to create your medical Marijuana profile. This profile includes basic information such as your legal name, current address, and contact information. To register for the medical marijuana program, you must also have a Pennsylvania driver’s license or an ID card issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

2.  Have a physician certify that you suffer from one of the medical conditions that qualify for medical marijuana.
Please visit MediCalm-PA for your medical condition certification: MediCalm-PA 24 Veteran's Square, Media, PA 19063, MediCalm-PA 312 West State Street, Suite 203, Kennett Square, PA 19348, or MediCalm-PA 230 Sugartown Rd Unit #20 Wayne, PA 19087.
For an initial evaluation, be sure to bring state ID or state driver's license, medical records, if not already sent, stating any qualifying condition as well as the given Patient ID number. This number is given by the state department of health's medical marijuana registry program.

3.  Pay for a medical marijuana ID card. Once you have been certified by an approved physician, the next step is to return to the Medical Marijuana Registry and pay for your medical marijuana ID card. The cost of a medical marijuana ID card is $50. Patients who participate in assistance programs including Medicaid, PACE/PACENET, CHIP, SNAP, and WIC may be eligible for fee reductions.

4.  Get medical marijuana from an approved dispensary in Pennsylvania. After receiving your ID card, you may purchase medical marijuana from a dispensary. View a list of medical marijuana dispensaries in Pennsylvania.
